Serikali yatambua kampuni inayowainua vijana kibiashara
KAMPUNI inayojihusisha na ubunifu wa kidijitali, Wave 360 Africa, imetambuliwa na serikali kwa mchango wake katika kukuza sekta ya ubunifu nchini. Kampuni hiyo ilipokea utambuzi huo wakati wa Maonyesho ya Kimataifa Nairobi yaliyofanyika katika uwanja wa Jamhuri, Nairobi. Waziri wa Kilimo na Maendeleo ya Mifugo, Mutahi Kagwe, aliipongeza kampuni hiyo akisema kazi ya kampuni za vijana katika sekta ya ubunifu inaonyesha namna teknolojia inavyoweza kutumiwa kufikisha ujumbe kwa umma. Kagwe alisema vijana nchini wana uwezo wa kutumia ubunifu na teknolojia kuunda nafasi za ajira na kusaidia kukuza biashara. "Tunapaswa kuendelea kuunga mkono biashara kama hizi kwa sababu zinaunda nafasi, zinaongoza mijadala na kuonyesha kile ambacho vipaji vya Kenya vinaweza kufanya," alisema Kagwe. Maonyesho hayo, yaliyoanza Septemba 28 na kukamilika Oktoba 4, yaliwaleta pamoja washiriki kutoka sekta mbalimbali zikiwemo kilimo, biashara, viwanda, teknolojia na elimu. Wave 360 Africa ilianzishwa mwaka 2022 na inajihusisha na kampeni za kidijitali, utangazaji, matukio na shughuli nyingine za ubunifu zinazolenga kuunganisha biashara na wananchi. Mkurugenzi Mkuu wa kampuni hiyo, Zedekiah Mukoya, alisema kutambuliwa kwao ni motisha kwa vijana wanaojaribu kujenga biashara katika sekta ya ubunifu. Alisema kampuni hiyo inalenga kutumia uelewa wa utamaduni na mienendo ya Wakenya katika kuunda ujumbe unaoeleweka kwa wananchi. Kwa Wakenya wengi, hasa vijana wanaotumia mitandao ya kijamii kila siku, kampuni za aina hiyo zimekuwa sehemu muhimu ya namna mashirika yanavyowasiliana na umma kupitia simu na majukwaa ya kidijitali. Utambuzi huo wa mwaka huu unafuatia tukio la mwaka jana ambapo Rais William Ruto alitembelea kampuni hiyo ya Wave 360 wakati wa maonyesho hayo. Kampuni hiyo pia imepanua shughuli zake nje ya Kenya, baada ya kuingia Uganda mwaka 2025. Kwa kampuni hiyo iliyoanzishwa miaka minne iliyopita, utambuzi huo unaongeza orodha ya hatua katika safari yake ya kujenga nafasi katika sekta ya ubunifu Afrik a Mashariki.
