Malalamishi hayo yameibuka baada ya Tume ya Kuajiri Walimu (TSC) kutoa barua inaoyoelekeza utekelezaji wa awamu ya pili ya mkataba huo kuanzia Julai 1, 2026. Walimu wengi waligundua kuwa nyongeza yao halisi ni kati ya Sh693 na Sh2,055 pekee kulingana na cheo na kiwango cha mshahara. Ingawa serikali ilitenga Sh8.4 bilioni kutekeleza awamu hiyo, walimu wanasema kiasi kinachoingia katika akaunti zao baada ya makato ya kisheria hakina tofauti kubwa na mshahara wa awali. "Mwalimu wa daraja ya C3 alitarajiwa kuongezewa Sh2,055, lakini hiyo ni kabla ya makato ya PAYE, SHA, Ushuru wa Nyumba na NSSF. "Serikali imechukua fedha nyingi kupitia makato ya SHA, ushuru wa nyumba, NSSF na kodi kuliko ilivyorejesha kupitia nyongeza ya mishahara.
