Hii ni kwa sababu hakuna kile ambacho eneo hili linapigania katika uchaguzi mkuu ujao. Luo Nyanza haitakuwa na mwaniaji wa urais ambaye anatikisa siasa za nchi kwa mara ya kwanza tangu 2007. Japo Gavana wa Siaya James Orengo ametangaza kuwa analenga urais, haonekani kama mwanasiasa mwenye mnato au ushawishi jinsi marehemu Raila alivyokuwa kwa muda ambao alitamba katika siasa za nchi hii. Wikendi iliyopita, uhuni wa kisiasa ulijitokeza tena jijini Kisumu ambapo Bw Orengo na Seneta wa Nairobi Edwin Sifuna walivamiwa wakihudhuria ibada katika Kanisa la ACK Cathedral Milimani Kisumu. Mtu mmoja aliripotiwa kuaga dunia kutokana na ghasia hizo huku Bw Sifuna na Orengo wakilazimika kuhepa kupitia mlango wa nyuma. Hizi siasa za fujo kwanza ni za kulaaniwa. Zinaonyesha jinsi vijana walivyo tayari kutumiwa na wanasiasa wanaoendeleza maslahi yao. Wakati ule kumpinga marehemu Bw Odinga kulikuwa kama kujipalilia makaa kwani walizienzi siasa za Raila kwa dhati kiasi cha kufuata maagizo yake kama somo la dini. Kwa sasa hakuna mwanasiasa anayefikia hadhi ya Raila ambaye anafaa kusabababisha wananchi wauane jinsi ilivyoshuhudiwa Jumapili. Luo Nyanza haina nafasi ya kuwania urais au hata nafasi finyu ya kuwahi wadhifa wa mgombea mwenza katika kura ya 2027. Mbona sasa watu wapigane kwa ajili ya wanasiasa wengine ama wale wanaosaka viti vidogo kama ugavana, ubunge, mwakilishi wa kike, udiwani au hata useneta? Bw Orengo ametangaza kuwa analenga kuwania urais mnamo 2027 lakini uhalisia wa kisiasa ni kuwa hana umaarufu wa kitaifa au wa kieneo. Kwa upande mwingine Kiongozi wa ODM, Dkt Oburu Oginga naye ashatangaza kuwa mrengo wake utamuunga mkono Rais William Ruto 2027 na kinaya ni kwamba hata UDA na ODM hazijaanza mazungumzo. Kama ODM inaunga mkono Rais Ruto naye Bw Orengo hana nafasi bora ya kushinda urais au kufikia hadhi ya siasa za Raila basi wanananchi wa Kisumu au hata Nyanza wanapigania nini kiasi cha kuuana? Nyanza ilikuwa mstari wa mbele kupigania mfumo wa vyama vingi mnamo 1992 na maisha ya wengi yalipotea. Hakuna eneo ambalo limewindwa na mauaji ya kisiasa tangu uhuru kama Nyanza na hii imetokana na ujasiri wa viongozi wake kupambania uongozi bora na mabadiliko ya kisiasa. Kuhusu siasa za 2027 eneo hili halifai kuwa mstari wa mbele kupigania maslahi ya kisiasa ya wengine. Badala yake wananchi watulie, wawaruhusu viongozi wafanye kampeni kwa amani na ifikiapo siku ya kura basi wajitokeze na kushiriki kwa wingi. Nyanza imekejeliwa kuwa ina wapigakura wengi lakini huwa hawajitokezi siku ya kura. Sauti pekee kwa sasa ni kwamba eneo hilo linastahili kushirikiana na wanasiasa kuhakikisha usajili wa wapigakura wengi kisha wajitokeze mnamo 2027.
