Kesi hiyo inategemea zaidi machapisho ya Bw Wetang'ula katika mitandao ya kijamii, picha na matamshi yake ya hadharani yaliyotolewa baada ya Mahakama Kuu kutoa amri za muda. Kwa mujibu wa Vocal Africa, machapisho hayo yanathibitisha kuwa Spika huyo aliendelea kushiriki katika shughuli za kisiasa licha ya marufuku iliyowekwa na mahakama. Jaji David Mburu Jumatatu asema kuwa ombi hilo ni la dharura huku akiratibisha kesi hiyo isikizwe mnamo Julai 16 kwa mwelekeo zaidi. Ombi hilo linafuatia amri za muda zilizotolewa Julai 8 zilizomzuia Bw Wetang'ula na Spika wa Seneti Amason Kingi kutumia mamlaka, hadhi, ushawishi na heshima ya afisi zao za kikatiba kuandaa, kuhamasisha, kuidhinisha au kuongoza kampeni za kisiasa hadi kesi ya msingi itakapoamuliwa. Sasa Vocal Africa inadai kuwa Bw Wetang'ula alipuuza kwa kimakusudi amri hizo. Kwa mujibu wa hati zilizowasilishwa mahakamani, kati ya Julai 10 na Julai 12, Bw Wetang'ula alihutubia mikutano ya hadhara katika Narok Kaskazini, Sirisia, Matungu, Kabuchai na Webuye Mashariki, ambako inadaiwa aliwahimiza wananchi kumuunga mkono Rais Ruto katika uchaguzi wa 2027 huku akielezea mafanikio ya serikali ya Kenya Kwanza.Shirika hilo pia linadai kuwa baadaye Spika huyo alichapisha taarifa kuhusu mikutano hiyo kupitia akaunti yake rasmi ya mtandao wa X (zamani Twitter), jambo ambalo, kwa mujibu wake, linaonyesha wazi kuwa aliendelea na shughuli zilizokatazwa na mahakama.
