Kalonzo: Niko tayari kuwa mgombea mwenza wa Sifuna akiteuliwa
KIONGOZI wa Wiper Kalonzo Musyoka amesema yuko tayari kuwa mgombea mwenza wa Seneta wa Nairobi Edwin Sifuna katika uchaguzi mkuu wa 2027. Hii itafanyika tu iwapo upinzani utamteua Bw Sifuna kuwa mgombea wake wa urais. Akizungumza katika mahojiano na NTV Jumatatu, Bw Musyoka alisema hana tatizo kumuunga mkono Bw Sifuna, mradi tu tiketi hiyo iwe na uwezo wa kumshinda Rais William Ruto katika uchaguzi huo. Makamu huyo wa rais wa zamani alisema pia anaamini Bw Sifuna atarudisha mkono iwapo ndiye atachaguliwa kuwa mgombea wa urais wa upinzani. "Wakati huu hatuachi chochote kwa bahati. Tumekubaliana kwamba tutafanya lolote litakalohitajika. Bila shaka, sina tatizo lolote kumuunga mkono Sifuna," akasema Bw Musyoka. Alisisitiza kuwa yuko tayari kuunga mkono tikiti yoyote ambayo upinzani utaafikiana kwa kauli moja, akitaja pia aliyekuwa Naibu Rais Rigathi Gachagua, Kiongozi wa DAP-Kenya Eugene Wamalwa na Martha Karua kama viongozi anaoweza kuwaunga mkono. "Kwa hivyo, nitaunga mkono hii na nyingine. Nina uhakika Sifuna pia hana tatizo kunisaidia. Sina tatizo kumuunga mkono yeye, Gachagua au mtu mwengine ambaye upinzani utakubaliana naye," akasema. Kauli ya Bw Musyoka inajiri siku chache baada ya kura za maoni kumweka Bw Sifuna mbele ya baadhi ya viongozi wa upinzani wanaotajwa kuwa wapinzani wakuu wa Ruto. Utafiti wa TIFA uliotolewa Julai 24 ulionyesha kuwa asilimia 44 ya wafuasi wa ODM wangemchagua Bw Sifuna kuwa mgombea wa urais wa chama hicho iwapo uchaguzi ungefanyika wakati huo. Rais Ruto alipata asilimia 20, Fred Matiang'i asilimia tisa, Kalonzo asilimia nne na Babu Owino asilimia mbili. Bw Sifuna, ambaye amekuwa akifanya mikutano mbalimbali ya kisiasa kutafuta uungwaji mkono, amesema yuko tayari kumuunga mkono mgombea mmoja wa upinzani ili kumng'oa Rais Ruto mnamo 2027.
