Helikopta iliyobeba Wanga, Wandayi yatua ghafla kuepuka ajali

HELIKOPTA iliyokuwa imembeba Gavana wa Homa Bay Gladys Wanga, Waziri wa Kawi Opiyo Wandayi na Mwanasheria Mkuu Dorcas Oduor ililazimika kutua kwa dharura katika Kaunti ya Kericho Jumapili kutokana na hali mbaya ya hewa. Viongozi hao walikuwa wakisafiri kutoka Homa Bay kuelekea Naivasha walipokumbana na mvua na upepo mkali, hali iliyomlazimu rubani kutua kama njia ya kuchukua tahadhari. Helikopta hiyo ilitua katika uwanja wa wazi eneo la Chepngetuny, karibu na Chuo cha Kifundi na Mafunzo cha Belgut ambako ilikaa kwa muda hadi hali ya hewa ilipotulia. Afisi ya Gavana Wanga ilisema watu wote waliokuwa ndani ya helikopta hiyo walikuwa salama na safari iliendelea baada ya hali kuwa nzuri. Afisa mmoja kutoka afisi hiyo alisema helikopta hiyo baadaye ilifika Naivasha salama ambako Gavana Wanga alijiunga na viongozi wengine katika mkutano wa kundi la wabunge la Serikali Jumuishi. Tukio hilo linajiri baada ya ajali ya helikopta katika kijiji cha Chepkiep, Mosop, Kaunti ya Nandi mnamo Februari. Ajali hiyo ilisababisha kifo cha aliyekuwa Mbunge wa Emurua Dikirr Johana Ng'eno na watu wengine watano. Kabla ya tukio hilo, Gavana Wanga alikuwa ameandamana na Bw Wandayi na Bi Oduor hadi Kojwach, eneobunge la Kabondo Kasipul, kwa hafla ya malipo ya mahari ya Mbunge wa Nyando Jared Okello. Bi Wanga alichapisha picha za hafla hiyo kwenye ukurasa wake wa Facebook, akiwatakia Bw Okello na mkewe Adhiambo maisha marefu ya ndoa yenye furaha. Mapema Jumapili, Gavana Wanga alikuwa amehudhuria ibada katika kanisa la Faith Community Fellowship Sanctuary, Kochia, ambako alishiriki katika harambee ya maendeleo ya kanisa. Baadaye alihudhuria ibada katika Holy Trinity Catholic Cathedral, Homa Bay Town. Kwa upande wake, Bw Wandayi alihudhuria ibada katika Christian Evangelical Fellowship Church, Atemo, Kabondo Kasipul, kabla ya kujiunga na viongozi hao katika hafla ya mahari. Baada ya kufika Naivasha, Gavana Wanga alishiriki katika mkutano wa Serikali Jumuishi pamoja na Rais William Ruto, Kiongozi wa ODM Dkt Oburu Oginga na viongozi wengine. Bw Wandayi pia alithibitisha kufika kwake Naivasha, akisema mkutano huo utajadili namna ya kuimarisha umoja wa kitaifa, mwelekeo wa taifa na ajenda ya maendeleo kwa manufaa ya Wakenya.

Konst Kimoi alifikishwa kortini pamoja na Daniel Mwangi Njoroge na Kevin Ngugi Kinuthia. Akiomba washukiwa hao wazuiliwe kwa siku 30, Koplo Romana Oduor anayechunguza kesi hiyo alisema Njoroge ndiye alikuwa anaendesha gari lililomzuilia Dkt Mutiso kabla ya kutwangwa risasi kichwani na Konst Kimoi. Bi Mulwa alikuwa mke wa Prof David Musyimi Ndetei aliyetalikiwa na ambaye alikuwa anamenyana na Dkt Mutiso kuhusu umiliki wa ardhi ya ekari 20 iliyoko Mlolongo Athi River kaunti ya Machakos.
